The project focuses on the realization of a bike path that will connect the neighborhoods of Campalto and Tessera, beginning near the Cemetery of Campalto, ending at via Ca’ Zorzi, near Venice’s Marco Polo Airport. The path crosses a predominantly agricultural area, linking the existing Bosco di Campalto and the planned Bosco dello Sport. The primary goal is to bridge any gaps in the already existing bike paths. Currently, the bike lanes in Campalto end abruptly near the cemetery, while the path in Tessera stops near the Via Triestina roundabout. This discontinuity makes it difficult and unsafe for cyclists and pedestrians to travel to the airport.

The project plans the construction of a bike path that will follow the route along the Cemetery, proceed along via Orlanda up to Tessera, cross via Triestina and conclude near the airport. Parallel the the bike path’s works, plans are in place for improvement works, like the refurbishment of the drainage and street lighting systems, upgrades to bus stops, and the addition of cycle and pedestrian crossings.

In addition to the bike path construction, the project includes several improvements to the surrounding infrastructure, such as the refurbishment of drainage and street lighting systems, improvements to existing bus stops, and the addition of new crossings for cyclists and pedestrians.
