The project involves the realization of a new building which will be designated for industrial use, located in the Comune of Calalzo di Cadore. The intervention, promoted by DELTA Srl, leading company in the eyewear sector, is intended to answer to the need of functional expansion and organizational restructuring, with the objective of optimizing the productive flow and increasing the operational capacity.

The architectonic design favors the formal and material integration of the building into the surrounding environment. Special attention was paid to efficiently distribute the internal spaces, to the materials and interior finishes chosen to be coherent with the context and to energy sustainability, through the use of innovative construction technologies and low environmental impact plant design solutions.

The building is equipped with separate accesses for vehicles and pedestrians, to optimize the management of personnel and goods. In the ground floor can be found the manufacturing area, the warehouse, the operative offices, the locker room, the sanitary facilities and the cafeteria which can seat 88 people, in addition to a foyer for reception.

The finishes are differentiated depending on the designated use of each area: helicopter-trowelled industrial flooring in the productive areas, stoneware raised floor system for the office areas, washable coatings for the toilets. The offices are bordered by glass wall with opaque doors and equipped, on the upper floor, with exclusive-use loggias. The sanitary facilities are situated in functional locations and include accessible restrooms for people with disabilities.

The architectural aspect was inspired by the traditional mountain architectural language, using materials and finishes which will guarantee context integration and structural strength. The exterior design includes parking areas with permeable paving, green areas planted with native plants and landscape mitigation works, with the objective of lowering the environmental impact of the project.
