The structure that houses the four-star NH Collection Porta Nuova is located inside the “Gioiaotto” building on Via Melchiorre Gioia, in the heart of Milan’s “City.” Recently renovated and redeveloped, and still a vivid testimony to the architectural and design culture characteristic of one of Milan’s most developed areas.

In this context, where the Italian capital of fashion and design has its most vital and innovative core, the city could only enter the hotel’s lobby and common spaces, located on the ground floor, characterizing the spaces with their distinctly urban flavor. Bookcases resembling facades of modern buildings, walls decorated with images of three-dimensional spaces of Milanese architecture and geometric patterns, accompanied by the furniture in bold and elegant colors, recall the typical patterns of modern Milanese neighborhoods.

At the entrance, a new circular cocktail bar furnished with comfortable stools becomes a focus not secondary to the reception area, ready to welcome smart workers and leisure travelers with a drink.

The hotel’s restaurant, which includes the food & wine restaurant Tablafina, features a sophisticated, three-dimensional design in shades of gold, blue, and green and is illuminated by large windows facing the neighborhood, becoming a place where guests and citizens alike can gather to share breakfast, tapas, or dishes of our tradition.

The design for the more than one hundred rooms, distributed through the building’s eight floors, was also created with the aim of redefining spaces with a cosmopolitan style. The textured, bright finishes and colors, which marry shades of wenge wood, gray, gold, and red, are elegant yet sophisticated.

The tailor made wallpaper reveals once again the strong connection between the city and the hotel: in fact, the geographical map of Milan and the profile of the Alps are reproposed, which are faced from the windows of the highest floors flooding the rooms with natural light.
