The project was born from the desire of creating a house which dialogues with the surrounding agricultural environment, echoing the traditional elements of rural architecture. The house develops on a single floor surrounding an inner garden, the true focus of this project, and distinguishes itself for the compositional simplicity and the integration between open and closed spaces.

The materials, shapes and proportions refer to the local building culture, while also adopting a contemporary architectonic language, sober and subdued.

The residence consists in a central patio that functions as a focal point for internal distribution, providing light, openness a visual continuity for the internal spaces. The planimetric configuration, developed on a single floor, allows a clear organization of the layout, encouraging an intuitive fruition and the connection of the house’s features.

The porch, typical element of outdoor living, is an integral part of the volumetry: opening on the internal courtyard, it becomes the threshold between the internal domestic spaces and the landscape. The roof structure, which unifies the porch and the living spaces, highlights the oneness of the design and suggests the idea of continuity between structure and nature.

The wall that connects the main building to the garage solves with ease the ratio between the two volumes, avoiding formal overlaps and spatial dispersions. This element, at the same time both functional and compositional, contributes to defining a compact and coherent layout, where each part finds a precise role within the whole.
